A 15th-century palace, Pitti Palace now houses several important museums of fine art and historical objects. The castle was previously a private residence of the grand dukes of Tuscany and later the king of Italy. Tour the extensive costume gallery for a look at fashion of the 18th and 19th centuries. Visit the palace apartments to imagine what the life of Florence's upper class was like. You can stroll through the Boboli Gardens, which border the palace. Beautiful palace and art on the inside museum, I highly recommend a visit. I also recommend that anyone visiting should buy their tickets online in order to skip lines and make everything easier. I bought mine a month before visiting and was very pleased to know that the date I had selected was the first Sunday of the month, which basically means free entry to every museum. The good part was that they refunded my tickets everywhere and I could still skip the lines and enter the locations super fast. The gardens were pretty but nothing I would definitely recommend. We visited after a rainy day so that was also part of why I didn't like it so much. Still, it's a nice place to go to for the first time. Every staff member was professional and helpful. Expect a gigantic place full of rooms with beautiful art from top to bottom!

The Pitti Palace is a stunning and beautiful place to visit in Florence. The palace interior is so beautiful and has many paintings, furniture and amazing ceilings and walls to see. Interesting to see how people used to live in the past. Be sure to venture out to the gardens they are stunning and brings a whole new level to the palace. The garden grounds are huge so dedicate plenty of time to explore it all and enjoy the views of the city. Great shots of the Cathedral dome!!

Amazing place!! Just going to the palace was 10€ and the garden was between 15-20€. Worth every penny. It is amazing the amount of detail that went into each room. All paintings are original and there are even originals from Raffaello and Dante there. Easy recommended!!

One of the best museums in Florence. Includes famous paintings, sculptures, furniture, gardens and tons of history. This is a palace with the impressive Palatine Gallery, Royal Apartments, Modern Art and Costume Gallery. You need hours to explore this gem. Come early before the crowds. Museum has a small cafe and impressive views of the Boboli Gardens.

Really nice museum . Lots of beautiful paintings and frescos. There is a washroom here as well as a restaurant should you be hungry. Lots of stairs. Worth visiting if your in florence. I do recommend a tour to get a better idea of what your looking at and how it came to be. I myself did not go through a tour and rather tried to take it all in and read some of the information stands that they had placed throughout some of the rooms. Tickets are not expensive. I didn't wait in line to go inside. Although a bit of a line to buy the tickets nearby. There is a nice area out front that you can sit on and relax should you wish to do so.
