Lago di Morasco, Formazza

At 1815 a dam creates this breathtaking lake just above Riale town.

You can reach the lake with your own vehicle. Parking 5 euros all day. Circumnavigating the lake is almost all very easy except for a few tens of meters. Nice and pleasant, in substantial plan. There are benches along the way for a break or packed lunch. Watch out instead for the climbs: they are not signaled entirely correctly. Bettelmatt can also be reached via a very easy dirt road, but only the path is signposted, which is not easy.

Really nice man made lake with gorgeous color. Stop at the refuge nearby for lunch (book in advance)

Very interesting artificial lake, very beautiful colors, the variety of flowers present in the greenery that surrounds it is fantastic You can take a complete tour of the lake by passing over the dam There is a shelter where you can stop with parking If you want to walk more you can stop in Riale, park, fill your water bottles with fresh water at the fountains and continue on foot but I would say that in any case, parking right under the lake dam, the circular tour is already a nice excursion There is also, just before the dam, a large car park and paid camper parking Furthermore, before the lake you find yourself in front of the Toce waterfall, beautiful
