The entire region of Lago Maggiore has the "foot print" of the Borromeo family and all the islands should be visited because they have different types of gardens.

This place was just magical. This had cost insane amounts of money and hard labor and now it is available for the public for just 20 EUR. The rest of the island is also beautiful although slightly touristy. Go here before the hordes of tourists swarm the place again (it was calm when ve visited)

As one who doesn't enjoy palaces and this kind of museums I can say I enjoyed the walk through this magnificent palace... especially the ground flour with the sea motives... At the end of the tour there is the exit to the gardens...

Entrance price is 20 Euro but include the garden visit as well and every eurocent is worthing! This is a very beautiful Palace and definitely no one should miss it if you find yourself coming to Magiore Lake. The architecture is great and this palace has an amazing garden! It just jaw dropping!

One of my Italian friends recommended this place to me. It was such an amazing experience, you shouldn't miss it. Visiting Isola Bella was my first impression of Italy as well. I was amazed by the Italian garden and also the exterior. The white peacock dancing over the monument in a heavenly beautiful garden. The ticket is quite expensive, but it's worth visiting. Highly recommended!

It’s truly a touristic experience, but it’s a good experience all the same! The garden was in great shape and seeing the castle was a nice addition. The boat trips from mainland are 5-15e and palazzo entrance is 22,- or so. There’s some great restaurants on the island, too.
