We hit La Thuile on a very quiet week day (Jan. 12) for the first time. The Italian side was scrubbed to the base but we made it over to the French side for a big powder day. Beware: Coming back from the French side, on a snowboard, requires a very long Poma ride! We would come here again!

Great ski area unless you are looking for a real off piste challenge. Quiet slopes (end Jan), good lift system.

La Rosiere is just amazing!! Beautiful resort thats not too over crowded. South facing so loads of sun but high enough for plenty of snow. Plenty of skiing with the option of skiing to La Thuile. Will be going again

Cold windy but beautiful
-
Beautiful ski area with a spectacular view on the mount blanc. With the same skipass, it's possible to cross the italian-french boarder and ski in two very nice ski areas of the Alps. Long slopes for beginners and for pros, which can enjoy also the world Cup slope in la Thuile: the Franco Berthod. The only negative note is that the ski lifts and chair lifts are a little bit old, maybe a renovation of some of them is needed. Good food both in Italy and in France with a lot of typical restaurants. The parking in la Thuile is not so big, so be there early in the weekends.
