Loved it, great hike and a very nice area of Val D'Aosta. Definitely worth the 6 hour round trip. I did it with my father-in-law whom is 82, but not your normal 82, he is in great shape. Very doable but long, not difficult.

An evocative place in an alpine setting surrounded by mountains. From La Joux you can arrive in 3 hours with a leisurely walk. If desired, it joins the deffeyes refuge in a ring.

Incredible landscape that you can admire. To get to the lakes, start from La Joux, 3 km from La Thuille. Here you take the path to the three spectacular Rutor waterfalls, then follow the signs for the Lakes of Bella Comba. The trail is a bit challenging, but once you get there you won't regret it.
