  • You get to this enchanting lake along a very difficult path made up of many steps and about 1 hour and a half from Lake Arpy! The trail is very challenging and heavy, but I saw a family with kids going up and down! So if you feel like going there, it's really worth the effort!
  • Magnificent! Turquoise waters and ermines that pop out unexpectedly at sunset! The view of Mont Blanc is priceless. The Pietra Rossa lake can be reached from Lake Arpy, continuing along the path. I suggest you stay until the sun goes down, to fall in love with the shades of red and orange assumed by the waters and the sky!
  • Magnificent place that is worth the climb to reach it. Ideal place for a rest, packed lunch, sleep or meditation.
  • For the last week of August, we decided to come by camper for a tour of this beautiful region where I had never been before. The Pietra Rossa lake was one of the most beautiful stops on the trip. We parked the camper behind the Genzianella restaurant and spent the night here. I recommend coming in the evening when everyone is gone, since in the morning it fills up with cars. To get to Arpy lake you need to walk for an hour and the path is suitable for everyone. But going to the Pietra Rossa lake is not exactly a walk. It takes breath and good legs and of course suitable shoes. The place then, repays you for all the effort. The colors are beautiful and there is so much peace. We were also lucky to find a beautiful sunny day with little wind.
  • Up to Lake Arpy is really a walk, then you start to climb and it gets steeper ... So many steps, gravel and we have found a passage to do in the snow ... Once arrived it is magnificent and the effort worth the whole lake is spectacular, the view is breathtaking. We didn't find good weather and there was a lot of wind in the lake. To go back
