    Unless one has a specific interest in underground water reservoirs, there really isn't much to see here. It is a nice respite from the hot sun but that was about it for us. Fortunately, the tickets....  more

    A very short experience for 3 euro and a waiting time to enter. If you are in there more than 5 minutes, you have done well. A bit of a let down.

    You can visit the old water reservoir of the city. The entrance fees is 3€/pax and you have one flyer of Explanation in many languages. It's mostly metallic stairs, so be ready. Explanation: ⭐️⭐️⭐ Interest: ⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility: ⭐ Price: 💰

    Located just outside of the Sassi di Matera, Palombaro lungo is an underground cistern, carved into the rock. It is located underneath the town square and is therefore very accessible. Guided tours are available and public toilets can be found only a few metres away.

    Nice underground and cold. That is good they put a different color of lights to give effect of the Cave and to the water.
