Piazza Gae Aulenti, Milan

A very beautiful modern square. A completely different face of Milan. It's worth visiting this place. The contrast between the old and the modern is just great. Everything is beautifully laid out. Children's playground (lots of fun for children with the fountains). Be sure to bring a towel if you visit the place with the kids). Supermarket and train station around the corner. Feels like you are in a modern city like New York.

Great square surrounded by great modern architecture. The buildings are quite groundbreaking but the greatest fact in ny opinion is how well articulated is the open space with the streets, buildings, train station and the city itself. A different face of Milan than we’re used to see. Must go

I recommend it for a short break from the enormity of typical monuments of the city. It's just something completely different. Lots of luxurious clothing stores, car showrooms, exclusive restaurants, company headquarters and office buildings. Definitely worth a visit.

Nicely designed piazza. Although modern in lines and materials, the general design of the whole space it's still able to capture successfully the more traditional meaning of the Italian Piazza. You get the sense of a large meeting space, surrounded by buildings, dotted around by cafes, shops and restaurants and keeping a centre of interest in the middle. Added value is the rather engaging view of the Bosco Verticale, showing its roof between the two tall mirrored buildings.

This area is nothing like Milan city. The buildings are huge. Big shopping centre area with a large park around it. Worth the visit if you come to Milan.
