  • Worth the effort if you are in the area. Go there if you have an extra hour and don’t want to see the normal tourist traps.

  • A 15th century monastery in a unique medieval township in Piedmont, Italy. Extremely beautiful and faithfully restored, a privilege to stay here. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Great...

  • Small Town with great Castle, wonderful bridge and a bit bench
  • Top
  • Castle in the town center, well preserved. In ancient times it was a Benedictine abbey. Dating back to the 11th century, it stands out in the town center, imposing, close to houses that have been renovated maintaining characteristics of the time or, in any case, suitable not to contrast its style. The nearby bridge completes the evocative view of the place.
  • The Monastery was founded by a group of Benedictine monks who, around 1050. The current castle corresponds to the site of the original monastery, of which only the bell tower remains. If you are in the area it is worth a detour, unfortunately the interiors are not always open to visitors. I recommend calling for an appointment.
  • We had a wonderful guided tour in the company of the Mayor. The structure has been progressively rearranged in recent years and the result can be seen! For the 11.00 and 18.00 tours, a tasty aperitif with local products is provided at the end of the tour!
