Chiesa di San Francesco d'Assisi, Muggia

This cute little church is easy to miss but I would highly reccomend the visit as it is one of the most peaceful places in town. If you are an art lover, you won't be disappointed: there's an amazing side altare with a beautiful image of Madonna. There's also a little park with a well in its centre in front of the church.

Nice old church with a comfortable feel. Interesting interior. Close to upper town walls. Quiet area but close to town centre. Maybe the northernmost church in Istria?

You meet it going up towards the castle. In a perched position, very beautiful as it appears, unexpectedly, alongside the climb. The interior inspires serenity, and features an interesting painting of the Madonna dell' latte and a beautiful pieta.

From the adorable roof garden where the rustic-looking church is located, it blends in well with the perched environment of the surrounding alleys. Although with modest interiors, it is a pleasant place to visit

Started from the small port of Muggia, wandering almost aimlessly to be honest; I met a sign that indicated this church. At first sight and seeing it from the outside, I told myself that it would have been a pity to be here and not visit it ..... Inside the church, two showcases contain a collection of very small nativity scenes. ..The interior is sober and beautiful.....
