Chiesa Museo di Santa Luciella ai Librai, Naples

The guide was knowledgeable and spoke English. She made us feel connected with the story of the church and it's underground grave. With all the overpopulated churches and museum, this is a breath of fresh air and makes you wonder about the human spirit as well. Considering the ticket money goes into restoration work it's much more of a reason to visit it.

This is a must-see, hidden gem in the middle of SpaccaNapoli area. Passionate people are driving the restoration of this amazing place. Do not miss the guided tour. Highly recommended.

Small mediaval church with cemetery and skull with "ears". There are only guided tours so we joined the italian group :) we didn' t need to understand because you can just see and feel the energy of former Anime pezzentelle cult. Very impressive 😉

My visit to Chiesa Santa Luciella was one of the best visits I had in Naples! The small church has it's own energy which fascinated me immediately!! My guide Laura (perfect English speaker) was very kind and gave me a lot of information about the history of the church !! Highly recommended monument!! Bravo!!

I was told about this church by a local at the hostel I was staying at, then randomly stumbled across it the next day and decided to check it out. This was honestly my favorite touristy type of visit in Naples. You get to see the reality of the city from many angles. The catholic side with Santa Lucia, the heretic and occult side with the skulls and the backstory on them, and you get to see how beneath all of Napoli’s often seen dirt and rubble, there is a lot of history to be recovered like they are doing with this little church. The restoration is still ongoing, so I am happy my money for the visit gets a good use. Maria gave me a tour in Spanish, which I really appreciated, since I can understand Italian, but I prefer my own language for a tour and not many people speak decent Spanish here in Napoli. I have recommended this church to all my friends and will be back when I am back. If you are reading this just go, and get a guided tour. The church is tiny, but its history is massive. It was all more than worth it.
