  • I am so proud to be an American. I had the chance to visit Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial last week and was amazed. It is such a beautiful place. I took the train from Rome to Nettuno. About 90 min train ride through the beautiful Italian countryside. The walk to the cemetery took me about 20 minutes. The visitors center is stunning. I have been to several American cemeteries and they do a tremendous job here with the history and memorials to various soldiers. The cemetery itself is stunning. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Very, very clean. I love the Chapel and gardens. The pond with trees and a memorial at the center is very peaceful. I am so glad I took the time to visit this cemetery and memorial. It made me proud. Especially with the fact a few of my Uncles served in WWII (American side) and my grandparents came to the United States from Sicily (San Cataldo).
  • Amazing cemetery, a place where you can learn about the Anzio landing and fallen soldiers. It's really well kept, basically perfect which is really impressive. I suggest that people from both Italy and the US visit this beautyfull place.
  • I went here a couple of years ago for work. They've changed the old family rooms into a nice little museum, telling the stories of some of the men and women resting here. As all the American Battlefield Memorials and Cemeteries it is extremely well kept. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It is a nice place to visit and reflect on the history of man.
  • I went to visit my grandmother's older brother who was killed in 1944 at the age of 21. James Eugene Sutphin. I left a sunflower for him. I told my grandmother what a beautiful place he has for his final resting.Thank you to those who look after him and his fellow heroes. It is truly remarkable how peaceful and well cared for the cemetary is after all these years. Uncle Gene never came home to West Virginia, but he isn't forgotten by us 🇺🇸
  • Great visit! The grounds are extremely manicured and the staff provided us with English pamphlets to explain the grounds. The special memorial rooms are closed because of Covid, but looked pretty through the gates. It is free to enter and no reservation is needed.
