  • Truly a delightful little church. A little to renovate (we left a small offer to contribute to the restoration work and we invite everyone to do the same). The small square around the church is very impressive.
  • The perfect rest stop. Great view and tables in the shade..
  • Suggestive, the complex of San Filiberto; located on a meadow by the lake, the church is the oldest chapel on the western shore of Lake Orta, built around the 11th century with the apse facing east towards the still existing dock. It is decorated with a series of fourteen chapels depicting the Via Crucis. In front of the facade of the church is the Romanesque bell tower dated between 1075 and 1110.
  • Small group of buildings, including the church, bell tower and chapels, located in a green area in a raised point on the sides of via Lungo Lago and a few meters from the Pelle landing stage. I was unable to visit the interior because it was closed. However, it is a beautiful sight and its vision provides peace and serenity. Convenient parking adjacent.
  • The church is the oldest chapel on the western coast of Lake Orta, built around the 11th century with the apse facing east. It is adorned with a series of fourteen chapels dating back to 1794 depicting the Via Crucis. In front of the façade of the church there is the Romanesque bell tower dated between 1075 and 1110. It is characterized by a simple square structure with thin slits in the lower part and two floors of mullioned windows in the upper part, with brick arches and central columns. in stone. The church has a gabled facade with the entrance door edged in granite and with an oculus closed by a glass. Inside, the church consists of a single nave with a pitched ceiling made of wooden beams and planks. There are still two stemmed fonts, a barrier in granite columns (1781) and the main altar in polychrome wood. On a wall, at the beginning of the century, a part of the fresco representing S. Giulio and other figures with popular faces of difficult interpretation came to light where the name of S. Filiberto can be read in Gothic characters
