  • Visit this church if you are in Pigna, great atmosphere with a feeling of peace and serenity. The Canavesio at the back of the altar in jaw dropping.

  • The church of San Michele is one of the most important (and interesting) churches if you want to know the late medieval architectural aspect of Liguria. One is absolutely amazed by its simplicity, without pomp and above all by its polyptych which immediately attracts attention as soon as you enter the church. It is a church that deserves to be visited. DESCRIPTION The building dates back to the 12th century, later enlarged. The facade is in Romanesque/Gothic style. The interior is in the Gothic style. Notable features are: - the amazing Canavesio polyptych - the statue of San Rocco in the right aisle - 15th century crucifix. Free admission.
  • works of the fifteenth century that are worth a visit in a church, which was built in successive periods starting from the twelfth century. Note: the bell tower of the church is municipal and not ecclesiastical property
  • Beautiful old church built on the perimeter of the ancient municipal walls of Pigna. Of Romanesque style with some Gothic architectural ornaments, it is renowned for the precious splendid altarpiece dedicated to San Michele, by Canavesio, which overlooks the high altar. The rose window above the entrance is also precious. An architectural and artistic ensemble of such importance deserves greater prominence and an accurate restoration intervention in order to make it more usable from a tourist point of view.
  • Particularly beautiful old church with a very good atmosphere because the church is still really in use. The many altars and statues are striking. Lots of color and beautiful details. Very nice stained glass and a beautiful organ. An oasis of peace, a deep silence in which you automatically fall silent.
