Sheltered by rocky, brush-covered mountains curving into the sea, Fornillo offers the chance to escape nearby Positano's crowds. You can drive from the scenic Amalfi Coast road. Or, from Positano, you can walk ten minutes from the ferry dock to this quiet beach, where you can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas inexpensively. A few restaurants offer pizza and other snacks. Our Positano trip planner makes visiting Fornillo and other Positano attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Best place to visit and enjoy the view. Be careful though there are a lot of stairs. Your trip must be planned well. I suggest you come down the stairs to this beach and then take the small connecting bridge between it and the other grand beach and then from the grand beach take the road up. As you can easily get stuck doing 300 stairs plus! Oh and be careful it’s full of rocks and pebbles. Fantastic beach though super chill amazing vibes.

I thought this little beach was Just beautiful compared to the main one in Positano. Our hotel arranged with one of the restaurants on the beach to reserve sunbeds and umbrellas. We got four sun beds and two umbrellas for 100 euro on August. Incredibly expensive but definitely worth it because that sun is hot! There are two ways to get here. One is to walk and involves a lot of steps. The other, is to take the boat that is offered from one of the restaurants that gives you the same beds. They take you there you pay for the sunbeds keep them all day and then they bring you back. They have boats frequently going back to Positano.

We didn’t try the food but the margarita I had was great and they had good cocktail options! The view at sunset is fabulous and you can even hear the waves lapping quietly against the shore. You can come during the day and get a lay down sun chair for 10 Euros (in Oct). The servers were very friendly and I felt like i was out of the hubbub and on a sandy beach in a fishing village in Mexico.

Generally it's all about the view of Positano and the picturesque landscape. More interesting for a postcard than to be there. The beach itself is grey, rocky, unpleasantly cold sea and rocky seabase. In addition climbing up the stairs is a real torture. You get a sunbed for €20 pp.

A short walk from the port in Positano to this beach. It's not so busy as the main beach. Sunbeds and umbrella cost 40euro (for 2 pers) and 50euro in first row. The beach is rocky so bring appropriate shoes. Also, water is a bit dirty.
