Built to commemorate the founder of the Jesuit order, the 17th-century Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola features an interior with gilded ornaments, marble reliefs, and remarkable frescoes. Admire the church's Baroque facade before heading inside to study the fresco glorifying St. Ignatius. Covering the ceiling of the nave, it creates an optical illusion of a dome. You can wander the plaza where the church is located to see examples of Rococo architecture. It is a grand church full of impressive art depicting Christian stories and lives of the saints. Immaculately well kept. Well worth a visit.

Stunning Baroque Art and Architecture! It’s not crowded at all. We just saw this church by chance and decided to have a look. Best decision we have made in Rome. Strongly recommended for art lover. amazing fresco on the ceiling. I’m surprised it hasn’t been a top tourist spots in Rome. Free guided tour also available.

Love this place for it's art work. I was walking from Trevi Fountain towards Pantheon and this place popped up from nowhere and captured my attention. Compared to all the other tourist attractions, this place wasn't crowded at all. It was beautiful when I walked in: the intricacy of the paintings on the walk and sculpture work. If you are going to Italy to experience its culture, I highly recommend this place.

Extravagant to the purest of forms, the art and single handed beautiful color schemes overwhelm the instincts of the past. Every human should see this amazing work! The waiting lines were short here and we could enter very quickly into the building. We will come here sometime again soon!

I had a nice visit here to look at the art work of the architect! It was so impressive to me. Every corner of the church is nice. They placed a mirror for people to see the truth behind the illusion. This church is still working (so its not only for tourists, and I can see people come to pray which is very nice). Located near the Pantheon. You have to queue for the mirror.

This was the first church we entered in Rome and it set the stage for what we were about to experience. Looking at the main facade of the building, you know it's a big church but when you walk it, it's supersized with beautiful artwork and architecture. Definitely a good stop and resting point as you walk toward the Pantheon
