    On a recent visit I was able to appreciate this jewel of Salerno's artistic heritage. The world of ceramics is caught in a perspective that is attentive to the historical evolution of the artifacts and to the fruitful intertwining with the millenary local traditions. Invitation to a visit, especially the students, who are often not very attracted by the many beauties of our territory. The context of the Museum is suggestive, located in Via Cassavecchia, in the heart of the historic city center.

    Small but very interesting museum of local ceramics, set up by Alfonso Tafuri in the 70s - 80s of the last century. The oldest finds date back to the Middle Ages, the more numerous are those from the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries: plates, religious majolica, facing tiles, decorative tiles, which bear witness to the development of the art of Vietrese, Salerno and local ceramics in general . It is possible to visit it on Saturday and Sunday mornings and on other special occasions.
