Parovel Cantina, San Dorligo della Valle-Dolina

We visited the osmize next to the Val Rosandra visitors centre rather than the spot indicated on the map. Although marketed as an osmiza it would be a step up but with only marginal price hike. There was a delicious selection of cheeses and a zucchine 'carpaccio'. We went for desert as the gelato made from the local refosco sounded like an interesting option and was in fact quite delicious. The house white wine was better than the usual osmiza plonk but at the same price. Nice spot. Accessible by 41 and 40 bus.

Slovenian family winery and olive oil farm with more than 100-year history. You can taste and buy an amazing olive oil and authentic wines.

Beautiful ambient, the stuff is very kind, great. I recommend to vine lovers.

The company and the Parovel family, whom I was lucky enough to know, are the top in the region for quality and dedication in the production of olive oil (the Macke, my favourite, is a must try) and wine. It is a company with a long history and a rich tradition and the grandchildren of the founders carry on the intuitions of their grandparents with the same love in this land kissed by fortunate climatic conditions. The osmiza is a "must"!
