A former ghost town, Old Bussana (Bussana Vecchia) has hosted an artist community since the early 1960s. The 1887 earthquake that caused the abandonment was the first recorded by a true seismograph. Vehicular access is shocking. Effectively a single track road for getting in and out. It’s an accident waiting to happen as I’d hate to think what would happen if an ambulance ever needed access...

Excellent to spend a couple of hours exploring and taking pictures, it seems surreal in some parts. Only a few bars and restaurants but a nice place to visit.
