It's not really a castle but a fancy hunting lodge. Whilst there was a castle here from 11th-12th century, the current building is from the 1800's. The bottom floor you can wander yourself, bit the 2nd and 3rd floor you must take a guided tour (which is only in Italian). Kinda interesting to see some of the rooms as they were, but not super compelling to visit.

This castle was a hunting lodge for kings. The first floor has some interesting relief map work of the area and a lot of images of previous owners but other than that it's a bit dull. The garden is nice but small and contains the chapel. The more interesting stuff is on the upper levels. You can only access these by buying a tour. The tour is in Italian. The notices around the castle are in Italian and French with occasional English. The upstairs rooms are where the family lived and they have attempted to populate it with the same furnishings that were used by the past owners and it makes it interesting. As this was a hunting lodge there are some really unusual (disturbing for this vegan!) features, such as the skulls and horns covering the ceilings and walls in some rooms. I have often passed this castle when it is out up and you see it from the road so it was nice to visit it at last.

Wonderful for kids, great tour guide patient and kind, the castle is spatious and beautifully kept, and the views are amazing

Beautiful castle from 13th century previously owned by italian rulers. There is beautiful garden and great tour inside of 30 min but mostly its only in Italian. Its really worth passing by if you're nearby.

This incredible place tells the Story of the Savoia family, the kings of Italy now exiled after the referendum of the 2nd of June 1946. The building is well kept and every room is furnisced and decorated with original objects and paintings. The Sala dei trofei, trophy room is quite controversial. It is "decorated" with thousands of skulls and horns and heads of hibex and chamoix who have been hunted and killed. You should be horrified but..unespectedly the room has a pleasant, romantic, welcoming aspect... It is worth a visit. Only guided tours
