Scuola Sci Selva, Selva di Val Gardena

I never write reviews, but our experience at Selva Ski School was excellent! Our son spent a week in the beginners class with Samantha and loved it. He made friends and learned how to ski. He also had an accident one day that required medical attention. He was fine and back on the slopes that afternoon, but the ski school handled the situation very well. They notified us immediately and kept us informed as we made our way back to him. They also ensured he was checked out for what some might consider a minor accident, but I really appreciated their cautious approach. Our son is already asking to return!

Absolutely terrible ski school for small children. No access to bathrooms, large student teacher ratio, inability to handle crying children. In 3 days our middle child moved around to 3 teachers, and a teacher publicly yelled at our child. In those days our child was scolded for not socializing with other children, yet he was placed in a group where not even the teacher would speak to him in English. We have attended ski schools in many countries over 5 years, and this is by far the WORST experience with a ski school.

Check-in process was easy, rental equipment is well maintained, and the school itself is centrally located. We did the 5-day beginners course with Ubald: a friendly and charming local who grew up on skis! Ubald quickly understood our proficiency, paced us well, and kept it challenging while keeping us focused on the basics. There were between 3-6 people in the group over the week, and he took time to examine each of us and give individual advice. Both of us walked away eager to ski again soon!

Great instructor who really took the time to teach everyone in the group to become a better skier. At the office the staff was friendly and professional.
