Tenuta Tenaglia, Serralunga di Crea

Tenuta Tenaglia is a real gem in the hills of Monferrato, a winery located in the beautiful Monferrato area of Piedmont. They also offer a few apartments for rent located in a building just next to the main house. The apartment was on two floors, clean and quite big, with two toilets and a shower. The kitchen was small but worked for preparing breakfast and a couple of dinners. Good comfortable beds. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. We had a very professional and passionate wine tasting on site, and boy do they produce high quality wines! We fell in love with the stories, the location and approach to making wine. And of course we bought some to take home. The outside area offers a great pool and relaxing area that we frequently used during our week here. Altogether Tenuta Tenaglia is definitely worth a visit, and if you are a wine nerd like us it is worth a detour just to get your hands on their superb wines. Amazing historical winery with high quality products with a big focus on preserving the beautiful traditions of the Piemontese terroir. The atmosphere is very welcoming as the owner Sabine is always there. The staff is very professional and there are people speaking english, french, german and dutch. The people are ready to share their knowledge about wine with the visitor and to advise them for the perfect purchase. The relationship with the customers is very personal as you can even order the wine directly from the winery without having to go to store. It is always possible to see the wine cellar and have an intimate wine tasting with view on the beautiful Monferrato hills. If you have been there once, Tenuta Tenaglia will come back on your next trip to Italy.

Magnificent place, nestled among the splendid hills of Monferrato. Sabine, the owner, is a kind and welcoming host. The estate is surrounded by vineyards, from which excellent wine is produced, especially grignolino and barbera. You can do tastings and buy the bottles directly. In the structure there is also a beautiful swimming pool, also surrounded by greenery and silence, a dream!

Beautiful company located a few steps from the Sanctuary of Serralunga di Crea, a destination for many faithful and recognized as a World Heritage Site and protected by UNESCO. Tenuta Tenaglia boasts ancient origins dating back to 1500, today it is a welcoming estate run by women where the wine tourist feels at ease, welcomed with care and professionalism. Here you can taste excellent wines, from the international white Chardonnay, to the reds of the territory such as Grignolino and some versions of the famous Barbera. Among the latter, ask for the more fruity version linked to the territory such as the BRICCO CREA or the CHAPEL N. 3, both dedicated to the Sanctuary above, or savor the version passed in wood, such as GIORGIO TENAGLIA, dedicated founder of the company, EMOTIONS, historic label of the winery and 1930 A GREAT VINTAGE dedicated to the owner's father. For Grignolino lovers, in addition to the steel only version already mentioned, I also recommend the new product of the area, the MONFERACE obtained with a landscape in tonneau. I wish everyone a good tasting on the terrace in summer or in the large tasting room overlooking the vineyards pampered by the pleasant fireplace and warmed by excellent wine.
