Create an itinerary including Centro Storico di Siena
Roam around narrow streets and piazzas of Centro Storico di Siena, and discover the secret spots of one of the finest examples of medieval and Renaissance cities in Italy. Surrounded by fortified walls, which date back to the 14th century, the historical core of Siena has maintained its Gothic appearance, which earned it a World Heritage status. Peak into palaces, churches, and museums, and admire exceptional frescos and sculptures. Rich in gourmet shops, bars, and restaurants, the town's winding alleys converge downhill towards the central square surrounded by monumental palaces and dominated by a 102 m (335 ft) bell tower. • A very delightful and enchanting Medieval city. The Sienese are very friendly. I missed the Palio. If possible, check the match date when planning to go there.
