Parco forestale del Roero, Sommariva Perno

Nice, well-kept park with lots of picnic facilities. Some patrons, rude made coexistence difficult. I would have given 5 stars, but for consistency I have to tell my experience in its entirety. Deserved 5 stars at the park, with beautiful trails for both technical and relaxing mountain bikes. If you want to walk, the place is the right one. Too bad for the civilization of some groups, with very loud music and loud noises. Gentlemen, those who go out into nature do it to relax and feel comfortable. So you bring disorder and disturb, this is not civilization!

An enchanted place, ideal for walks/rides by bike, on foot or on horseback on paths with marvelous views and environments varied in vegetation due to the presence or absence of water such as the valley floor or the "rocche", hill tops eroded by atmospheric agents that show sedimentation of the prehistoric seabed.

A beautiful equipped park Ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature

In spite of the attractive website and the brochure given at the entrance, at this moment the park is in an alarming state of decay and neglect. The spaces dedicated to children see broken swings and slides, rubbish, inaccessibility seals removed and left on the ground. Elsewhere dirt and uncollected mowings, bathrooms in bad hygienic situations, lakes with rotting water, unclear route indications. Badly applied maintenance required, if implemented. As if there were no economic resources now absent. We left saddened and bewildered. But have we become so used to ugliness that we are no longer scandalized by superficiality and neglect? Let's get angry at the abandonment that many Italian public places, like this one, pour into. I consider what I have seen serious.

Quiet, paths suitable for everyone and equipped areas, the care is not at the top and at the weekend it is too noisy, the tranquility of the park is not enforced, recommended during the week.
