Saint Francesco of Paola, Spezzano della Sila

Definitely worth visiting! Such a nice place to pray or just to visit

Absolutely to visit, it has nothing to envy to the famous Sanctuary of Paola, they have built buildings that obstruct the breathtaking view that can only be enjoyed from the sides. Even if the Cloister, the frescoes and the Sanctuary in general require maintenance and restoration work, you will still be transported into the typical Franciscan intimacy. A hug and best wishes to Father Omar and Father Maurizio who with the help of St. Francis, the Community of Spezzano Sila and all of us faithful will be able to make this beautiful sacred place shine, enriching it with Faith and Light.

Sanctuary very dear to the people of La Spezia, it is dedicated to San Francesco di Paola, who built it after those of Paola and Paterno. In the sacristy are preserved relics and objects of the Saint, which can be admired in the presence of the volunteers of the Sanctuary. Due to restoration work by the Fine Arts, the cloister is currently not accessible to the public.

Splendid place both from a religious and an artistic point of view. In this sanctuary both San Francesco di Paola and San Nicola da Longobardi have performed miracles. The stuccos and statues depicting the whole family of Jesus are splendid.

The new church struck me very badly, a real architectural disgrace. It doesn't even remotely resemble a place of worship. This means not having in any consideration good taste, the value of money and, even more seriously, the sense of the sacred.
