Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi
Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi was erected as a royal hunting lodge for the House of Savoy in what is now a suburb of Turin. Filippo Juvarra redecorated the palace interior in the 18th century for the King of Sardinia. Juvarra brought many of his designers from Venice to complete the 137 rooms and 17 galleries, which took years. The hunting grounds surrounding the palace have been reclaimed as a nature preserve. In this lowland forest, native plant species thrive that have died off elsewhere. Footpaths wind through the 18 km (11 mi) of land. It is mid June and the Linden trees are in bloom along the long road leading to this country palace, actually a hunting lodge of the royal house of Savoy. They smell amazing. Fields are cultivated...

There are very few rooms and collections to visit and see, although the quality of service from the staff is good. It's easy to visit for people who live in Turin, but not a place to stay for too long.

Of the three palaces connected to the Savoia Royal family that i visited on my trip, this by far was my favorite. Compared, for example to the reggia, the rooms were not set up as painting galleries but each had a unique feature that showed aspects of daily life; the audio app was well publicized and was not repetitive in pointing out what to focus on the room; and with The restorations it has gone recently you feel like you've been brought back in time:)

Nice place to visit, you can spend ½hr to one hour, besides it has very big park where we can spend most of your leisure time.
-
Beautiful palace that is being renovated. Parking is a bit weird on the gravel and there is no good crossing to the palace, but the place is beautiful to look at from a distance. Once inside there are far more rooms than you would expect although your visit can sometimes be blocked or interrupted by your groups that move through, sometimes against the regular flow. The garden had completely died, although the layout is still visible. There is a nice forest to walk through behind the castle but the many entrances have very few parking places. It is probably better to come by bicycle.
-
The place doesn't quite look the same on the outside as the presenting photo, maybe because the rain was not too much lately, we were a bit dissapointed when we got there.
