Had a quick visit outside the castle during a Wednesday in March 2023. The area looks beautiful, on top of a hill, and well connected. There is a large plateau next to the castle with some old blocks of stones, where students were playing games and football. The entrance to the castle was clear, only a few people that I saw inside.

It's a good scenery. Walking around town, I parked in coop parking and just started walking. Parking everywhere else is a tight spot and you will be wasting time looking for one. Make sure you applied for green pass since cafe or restaurant are asking for it. I tool some picture while I was sightseeing, a lot of people are walking so it's not bad to venture around and walk towards the port which I didn't have time. There are a lot of graffiti and it would be nice if the city clean up a bit. It might look not safe but it is safe during the day, not sure about night time.

The ticket only costs 5 euros. On the wall you will get a very good panoramic view of the city.

A nice small castle with a friendly little bar. Some lovely history in the museum and some amazing views over trieste. For €5 it wasn't a day couple of hours including a stop at the bar.
