Soaked in history and filled with art, Palazzo Reale Di Torino was once the hub of the city’s political power. Together with the surrounding buildings, this palace formed a regional command center for the powerful House of Savoy. Originally built in the 16th century, the opulent palace was further expanded and modified in the 17th century. Renowned architect Filippo Juvarra was hired by Victor Amadeus, the head of the Savoy dynasty, to modernize the palace up to 17th-century standards. The architect’s most famous addition was a grand staircase. Later, Claudio Francesco Beaumont, a distinguished artist who was the dynasty’s official painter, embellished many of the palace’s chambers. Today, the palace offers visitors a chance to glimpse the grandeur in which the European aristocracy once lived and worked. Be sure to visit the on-site museum, with a historic armory displaying a vast collection of old weapons. Slightly disappointing compared to other palaces in Europe. Worth seeing but not our favourite. Did not spend as much time here as expected

This place is definitely a must visit. Everything is amazingly beautiful and well keep. The smell inside the palace from vintage furniture is gorgeous, it makes you time travel back to old ages. Staffs are super friendly and supportive all time, no rush at all.

stunning museum that did not disappoint in terms of quantity! entry is free for those under 18, and ages 18-25 it’s only €2! perfect as we are students. if you’re going to Turin, make sure that you come here (but make sure to give yourself a couple of hours to explore!)

One of the highlights and must see places in Turin. The Royal rooms are extravagant and contain all original furniture, art and decor. It's different from other Royal room footprints in that the rooms are not always linear. Just when you think the tour ends you round a corner and find other significant rooms. Of particular interest is the direct access to the chapel that has the Shroud of Jesus encased in the alter. A moving and memorable experience.

This review is specifically related to the cafe located at the Royal Palace - which is a lovely place to enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat. I’ve only had coffee and a ham and cheese toast, so I cannot provide an overall review of the food. I can, though comment on the space and the service, which is fabulous - and a member of the staff in particular, named Bibi. I had the pleasure of meeting her on my first visit to the cafe - she’s warm, welcoming and she speaks English (which she has taught for many years). Don’t miss seeing the beautiful and peaceful garden space!

Absolutely must see. The palace is fantastic. With beautiful rooms and great descriptions so one can easily understand its history. The chapel of the shroud is stunning. There is a huge and beautiful painting collection. As well as an collection of antique artefacts. I strongly recommend to plan in lots of time and if you want to consume this museum entirely do the Egyptian Museum another day. I believe one can easily spend an entire day there when fully imersing one in the presentation.
