Create an itinerary including Vatican Gardens
Take a tour through the 23 hectares (57 acres) of parks and gardens at Vatican Gardens. This space covers more than half of the Vatican territory, and features green lawns and flowers, fountains, and statues, as well as medieval fortifications, monuments, and buildings from the ninth century up to the present day. As general access is limited to tour groups, this green area is more peaceful than the rest of Vatican City. • Its beautiful garden. We had guided tour who explained us various events happened in garden in history. Guided tour is recommended.
  • You have to book a guided tour online through Vatican Museums, which also includes access to the museum. Excellent views of St Peter's Basilica.
  • If you go to vatican, make sure that you book the tour of the gardens, and you won't regret it! The gardens are huge, statues decorate every little corner, and amazing landscaping will relax your eyes before you get into the museums. You will get to see St. Peter's Basilica from begind as well.
  • Beautiful gardens worth to see on a nice sunny day. Many different types of gardens, the Italian and French ones were the best. If you are lucky, maybe the Popes will pass by.
  • GORGEOUS GARDENS! we took a guided bus tour, that went around the garden and explained various works and architectural/gardening styles. There is so much history here at the Vatican, and each walkway and road and building and tree seems to have a story. Listening to the audio guide brought life to these beautiful gardens, and I felt like I was being taken through time to different points in time for even the most mundane activities, like a pope liked to walk along this trail after lunch. It very humanizing, and it’s stuff like that I love.
