Create an itinerary including St Mark's Campanile
Overlooking the city's famous lagoon, St Mark's Campanile is one of the Venice's most recognizable symbols. Originally constructed as a lighthouse, this 99 m (323 ft) tall bell tower stands alone in one corner of St. Mark's Square. The tower's simple form has a fluted brick shaft topped by a belfry housing five bells. A pyramidal spire with a golden weathervane in the form of the archangel Gabriel caps the tower. Constructed in the ninth century on ancient Roman foundations, the bell tower underwent a massive reconstruction after a sudden collapse in 1902. Once the site of Galileo's observatory, the tower now features an elevator for easy access to the top and views of the lagoon and distant Alps. • Excellent views from the top of The Campanile. Beautiful scenic stretches of Venice. A must see for everyone. I would recommend booking as the ques can get long.

  • Fantastic views over Venice, this is the tallest building around the island, you can't miss going up there to enjoy the breath taking views over Venice. It is best to go at sun set to enjoy the golden light over Venice. Of course you got to know you will be sharing spots with a lot of other tourists, but that's a normal thing for Venice. Staff was very polite and helpful.
  • Visit Campanile for an amazing view of Venice. You can have clear view of the Doge’s palace, canals, boats and the St. Marks square from this 100 m tall tower. Specially in the evening it looks great to have a sunset view or experience the lighting of the square. Note: the ticket to the tower is not covered in the Museum ticket which allows you access to ~10 museums. And be careful of the bells ringing at every hour. They are very loud.
  • Great place! We visited this and were not disappointed! The sights from the top were great, and the pictures from the bottom were great and iconic as well. Tickets were a reasonable price and it's definitely worth going to the top. It's one of the most iconic places in Venice, and I highly recommend visiting this. Also, you may want to buy tickets earlier in the day, because there is a somewhat long wait depending on the time of year. We waited almost one hour.
  • Depending on the time and day of the visit there might be an entrance queue. The views at the top are definitely worth the 15 to 20min wait. Entrance fee is 10€. An elevator will take you to the last floor. About 6 people and a staff member per trip. Masks not required. Unobstructed 360 view of the Venice once you climb to the top. It is always full of people, so you might need to squeeze around and wait for your turn to get close to the windows.
  • Got the 'skip-the-line' tickets for 12€ each, entrance is already 10€ so adding 2€ to skip the wait was worth it. Beautiful views of Venice (360 degrees views). Can be cold/windy up there, so I recommend to take a jacket. We stayed about 30 minutes, I would say to plan at least 15min to get a few photos.
