Create an itinerary including Torre dei Lamberti
A wealthy family built Torre dei Lamberti in 1172, and it stands as a reminder of the many towers that once dotted Verona's skyline. The 84 m (275.6 ft) tall structure is a mix of architectural styles added over the centuries. Climb to the top for views of the old town and countryside. Listen for two sets of bells, the Rengo and Marangona, which still ring occasionally. Take the elevator to the viewing platform if the climb looks too strenuous. Put Torre dei Lamberti into our Verona route planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Verona.

  • Obligatory tower on the main square with superb views of the city. Unfortunately was a rainy/cloudy day, but could still see the city. Elevator or ~350 stairs to walk up. 6 eur entry. 360 views. Worth it I believe. Tickets purchased at the bottom, next to the main square.
  • Good views of Verona old town, but at the price of 6€ I think its too expensive just for the views and time wasted in the queue. I think its better to go to the Castel San Pietro, the views are much better, the entrance is free and you don't waste probably 30min or more waiting in a queue.
  • Free entrance with Verona card and I paid an extra 1€ to use the lift, while my boyfriend ran up the stairs in about 2 minutes, but we were told the stairs would take 10 minutes, so assume somewhere in between when making your choice. Beautiful views at the top, we went in off-season (first week of December) so it was pretty empty. There’s a great Christmas market near the entrance as well :)
  • I’d recommend emailing and making a reservation beforehand. The lady manning the line was nice enough to let me in 30 minutes earlier than my reserved time. If you purchase the Verona card, I’d recommend paying the extra 1 EUR for the elevator up. Climbing those stairs with a face mask was not worth the 1 EUR I saved lol. Great views up top!
  • While I would have been a bit skeptical about a 5-star review when paying the ticket and going up, the view I got from the top was breathtaking. Caught an incredible autumn sunset from the top and thus the sky on top of the roofs was reddish, giving the entire city buildings a tint. See my photo. Strongly recommend to go as the sun sets.
