Cascina Montagnola, Viguzzolo

Yesterday we, a couple from The Netherlands, visited Cascina Montagnola. We hadn’t an appointment but we were very welcomed by Donatella and her two (student) assistants. What a good time we had: so passionate they spoke about the vineyard, so enthusiastic they presented us their different wines, so proudly they showed us around. It was more than a pleasure to be there! Donatella told us about the several grapes, the way she produces the different wines, the time the wines need to be in the barrels before they can be drunk. Of course it was a pleasure to test some wines; and although it was meant to zip and then empty the glass I drunk all that was in the glasses because the tastes were wonderful! We really do thank Donatella and her assistants for receiving us and showing us around and let us taste the wines. We strongly recommend all the visitors of the Milan region who love wine and want to see how it is produced, to pay Cascina Montagnola a visit. We are sure you will get just a cordial and warm reception as we have had! We wish you a good harvest because this morning you started early in the morning with the harvest of the Berbera wine! Fantastic place, just as good as the selection of fine wine they offer. The dedication and passion really gives a compelling touch to this outstanding experience. Will definitely be back again!

Very friendly and very nice small winery. A must to stop when in the area. Their wine is served in 3* michelin restaurant piazza duomo and it is not hard to see/taste why.

Heaven on earth, the wine and environment really is incredible, would recommend this experience to everyone!
