Pretend you’re in the movies on the white sands of James Bond Beach, a picturesque spot with an eclectic cultural history. Scenes from the James Bond movie “Dr No” were filmed here and the character’s creator, Ian Fleming, lived nearby at his “Golden Eye Villa” while writing the novels. Hop on a boat tour to go and see the villa along with breathtaking views of the surrounding bay. Owned by music mogul and Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, the beach also hosts a lively mix of annual music events, most of which take place at the two-storey “Moonraker” beach bar, which also offers a delicious menu of fresh fish and seafood to sample. The beach itself boats a dramatic backdrop of the St Mary mountains, surrounded on three sides by glimmering turquoise waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. we were able to enjoy the little crescent, white sand, teal beach by the kindness of a security man as the whole of James Bond Beach rec area is closed. It is certainly falling into disrepair, but...

We were staying nearby and walked over to check it out. Not much to see really. Very small beach. The bar was ok and the red stripe was cold.

Dec 2022- still closed due to covid. Were able to stop by with small donation and see the place. Decent bird life. Snorkeled the northeast side in the sanctuary and saw some fish too but a little murky. IMO no reason to close a beach for covid at this stage.

Beautiful tranquility place small breach tucked away. A few little restaurants and bars were you can taste the local food. I love it and you would to. Worth a visit. 🤩

This was my first time at the beach and I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely beach and park; especially since the road in was so bad. The park itself is quite nicely maintained and the restaurant and bar were very nice. We found the food at the restaurant was quite exceptional but a bit on the expensive side. I would definitely come here again.

Road to it is awful and the security staff tried to charge entry. However, the bar staff were excellent and the alcohol prices were reasonable. Clean tidy, but small, beach. Spectacular views.

The beach has changing rooms, showers, a bar, restaurant, large grassy field for playing volleyball and football, deckchairs on the sand for guests and catchy music playing. Carry your own ball. Admission seems reasonable enough although the beach is small and I felt the guards at the gate aren't trained in handling crowds because we waited for nearly 15 minutes before they could sort out 20 people which I found ridiculous. The restaurant was terribly overpriced too and the fish wasn't fresh. At least the beach was very beautiful and very clean
