  • Excellent experience for our young adult daughters, dressing in authentic kimonos, all the way down to the special toe socks and kimono sandals! Booked through Viator / TripAdvisor. Chose a late day time and spent an hour taking photos in the nearby Shirakawa area (head to Tatsumibashi bridge and Tatsumi shrine). The sandals are a little hard to wear for a full day. Great staff. Extra hairstyling add-on well worth it, for the full Japanese kimono look!
  • They were super busy, and even though we had an appointment at 11:30 it was well after 1 before my daughter was dress and out the door. The kimono was great. Very little English. Spent time just standing around because we didn't know what to do and the staff wasn't even trying to communicate. Good selection, the hair ended up looking great, poor shoe selection, especially if you have bigger feet. They also closed earlier than other stores we stumbled across later. All in all, it's not bad, but not maybe the best either. Price is good. Liked booking online.
  • I was a little afraid because of the comments, but it is a good place! Kimonos for women are between 5,000 and 30,000 JPY. A lot of beautiful options to choose. Staff is so kind and helpful, even when they don’t speak a lot of English. My only suggestion is to not book the make up service. I think it is so expensive (3,000 JPY) for what they offer. It didn’t last more than the hour of my photoshoot. Also, I can do the same by myself. Hair service is half the price (1,500) and really worth it! One hour is enough to choose, dress, and have your hair done.
  • Crowded, noisy, doesn’t matter you have a booking or not you still need to line up and wait 2 hours to get everything done. The make up lady was not interested doing her job. I had to redo my makeup myself. Not sure what I paid for with 3,000 yen.
  • Hey look, if it’s lack of the man power, please don’t overbook customers. It’s super packed, and nobody serves us. The only way is to catch staff and then serve yourself. Poor service with this price, I won’t recommend this store.
