Create an itinerary including Minoo Park
An easy hike along the riverside trail in Minoo Park leads to a picturesque waterfall, plunging 33 m (108 ft) into the river below. Early on along the path, you'll pass temples, shops, and other facilities, before the trail becomes more verdant and less developed. Expect to take about 45 minutes to walk each way, and bring along some water and a snack with you. Look out for the insectarium on site, and the various other paths that lead off to viewpoints around the park. If visiting in fall, you'll see radiant autumnal colors and can try the novel seasonal treat of deep-fried maple leaves. • Actually initially this park was not in our itinerary. A friend who came back recently from Osaka showed us some pictures and I thought it was worth going to this park supposed to be the nearest...

  • On December 12th the autumn leaves were still present though subdued. Strolling here on a weekday instead of the weekend sees a moderate number of visitors but not crowded at all. Some shops were closed but most at the start of the trail and at the falls were open. No monkey sighted including in the picnic area. Plenty of restrooms along the way. Very easy trail.
  • A must see if you want to see some nature near Osaka. If planned right, it can be perfectly timed with visiting the CUPNOODLES museum! After a three hour hike, we got to see Minoh Falls and hiked further up the mountain to see the sunset. A stunning sight.
  • A great place to escape the concrete jungle and immerse yourself into nature! Such a wonderful place if you’re tired of city life. It is best to visit in autumn, but the view is absolutely breathtaking even in summer.
  • Worth the time to hike here There’s a small Buddha temple too on the way to the Falls Don’t forget to try the maple leaf tempura called Momiji
  • Recommended spot for trekking with friends or family. The final destination might be the Minoh falls, around 2.4 km from the station, but you will not find it hard since the scenery and surroundings are awesome. It is better for you to bring some snacks and water just in case. Though there are various street snack stalls along the road.
