Expo '70 Commemorative Park, Suita

Nice garden, and there are lots of different flowers and attractions. It is relatively cheap. 300 yen per person. The sun statue is the main exhibit, but there are many activities. There is a little theme park for young kids. There is a picnic area for families.

Highly recommend Japanese Garden section. Used to be extra fee for entrance to the garden but now it's free. The scenery is picturesque and atmosphere is wonderful. It would take around 30 minutes for entire garden, but you can easily exit another entrance at end of garden to get to the train.

I was on a tour to Japan. The last day was a free and easy day, and the local guide had kindly brought us to the Expo '70 Commemorative Park. This also gave us an opportunity to take the famous public transport in Japan :-) We took lunch at the Food Court there. The variety was great and I enjoyed my Hawaiian burger with Avocado. We had a leisurely walk around the park after that. It was beautiful.

I went there on holiday (10/10/2022). The flowers bloomed beautifully. There are cosmos flowers, pink grass, konia grass and some kind of flowers that I dont remember the name. But Konia grass will turn dark red in next 3 -4 days. That will be perfect. Although the weather was rainy for most of the day, but the people came here also crowded. Let's see my pictures :)

Had a nice walk through the park and I'm sure it is lovely in spring but in winter it was under lots of maintenance. Roads closed, tea houses closed, playground roped off. If you around the area it's cheap for a look through but I wouldn't travel to see it
