See herds of zebras, giraffes, gnus, impalas, and elands (accompanied by the usual predators) at Mara Triangle, the northwestern part of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Open plains with tall grass and acacia forests are home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, spotted hyenas, and jackals, while along the Mara River you might spot crocodiles in action during migration periods. Run by a nonprofit organization, the triangle spans some 510 sq km (197 sq mi). Tour the reserve on a safari ride, and bring camping gear to stay in one of the public or private sites if you wish. • Wow! Kenya does not disappoint! The awe inspiring animals are amazing and plentiful in an unspoiled environment. The people are beautiful and charming! My time at Angama Mara Nature Reserve was a magical and life changing adventure!
  • Every respected traveler knows about the marvels of Masai Mara and it deserves its reputation. It's hard to put words on experiences like these, just go! You'll feel like being in a nature documentary.
  • Excellent wildlife, pretty good roads. We saw two lions just chilling under a tree, plus too many zebra, elephant, lion to count!
  • A peaceful place is somewhere you can go to slow down, reflect, engage in enjoyable activities. You can be alone or with others who you find relaxing to be around. A place that doesn’t demand anything of you or expect you to be someone you’re not – where you can just be. In your own space, you can be noisy or quiet, or work on activities and interests that you are passionate about, read, or otherwise escape life’s daily stresses and routines. It’s important to have a place to retreat, a place that brings you a sense of calm and a respite from life’s hectic pace at least once a week, if not daily. Having a designated retreat space that’s easy to access isn’t only nice, but necessary for many of us, particularly those of us who gain and recharge our energy from being alone. If you live with other people, it’s also important for each of you to have your own space to relax and restore your energy. A peaceful physical place supports a peaceful mind.
