Create an itinerary including Church Of St Peter And St Paul
Considered perhaps the pinnacle of Baroque church architecture in Lithuania, Church Of St Peter And St Paul offers visitors the chance to see a wealth of ornate decoration and more than 2,000 carved stucco figures. Finished in 1701, the church and its grounds are ringed by a high wall and several smaller chapels. Enter the main basilica to see its brilliant white interior replete with reliefs, paintings, and columns. Wander inside and explore the different chapels, connected along the perimeter of the building with a series of aisles. Watch for the skeletal statue of Death, a grim reminder of mortality included by the designers of the church, placed among statues of Jesus and other religious figures. • One of the must-see churches if you come to Vilnius and want to discover the marvels of the architecture. It is even called the most beautiful church of Vilnius.

  • Historical place that should be on your list while visiting Vilnius. Beatiful in the shape, wonderful in the complexity. Place that much gorgeous that even red army spared destroying the place while occupying the city.
  • As I saw that the facade was hidden behind the scaffolding (August 2022), I regretted the long way from the city center. But only until I came in. It's worth to see the inside, wonderful decorations, amazing architecture. I didn't expect such a baroque masterpiece.
  • Facade currently under renovation but interiors are the most beautiful in Vilnius, really stunning and worth a detour (about 1 mile from Cathedral square)
  • Lavish, spectacular interior. Cupolas, stucco etc in baroque style. Near Danish and British Embassies.
  • Beautiful church full of sculptures inside. They were renovating the front of the church
