  • It's basically a wet market. You can also buy some local product here. Price is quit cheap. They even have some local restaurant in the 1st floor.

  • The Pasar Utama Bintulu is now much cleaner now. Also, there is a perimeter fence. Guess it's to prevent/reduce vandalism and theft. Visited the fish market section and had a snack at the upper-level....  more

  • Pay a visit here this morning, but nothing special here, except selling some local vegetables, foods & fishs. The plus point is you can walk from here to waterfront Bintulu, which next to each other as well as close proximity to Tua Pek Gong Temple and Pasar Malam Bintulu.
  • I went there to eat Durian. However this season is not good to feel sweet Durian. And one store has sold Durian. The price was 17~20RMB only. Sarawak Durian was smaller than Thai and Vietnam. Staffs were friendly but difficult to communicate on English. If I have a chance, I wanna to eat good taste Sarawak Durian.
  • So many fresh produce can be found here. Vegetables, freshwater fish and prawn, fruits. You name it. There is designated section for dried ingredient such as shrimp paste (Bintulu's pride), anchovies, sago powder, dried shrimp, salted fish. If you need a quick bites there's afew stall selling traditional cakes.
  • A place that every tourist should make time to visit in order to know, taste and experience local fruits, food and delicacies. Don't be in a rush to buy the moment u step in...take time to detour and find the best prices they have to offer, often the best prices are the stalls that sell at the back/corners of this wet market. Prices are cheaper on the stalls that sell around the back and sides, and more expensive at or near the entrance.
  • Such interesting places to see some special food and fruits available.
