A walk through Mossy Forest reveals a chilly, misty landscape with an otherworldly atmosphere. Existing only at high elevations, where the land is permanently covered in low-level clouds, mist, and moisture, this rainforest of ferns, moss, lichen, and orchids supports a variety of creatures, including snakes, frogs, birds, and mammals. Stick to the wooden walkway as it bends around the landscape, and snap atmospheric photos of the thick grey mist hugging low-hanging vines. Hold on to the safety rope as the path is slippery when wet. Plan your visit to Mossy Forest and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Cameron Highlands trip planner.

Lovely if your fitness level is below average, however we ( group of 8) have gained much more enjoyment from the hikes we have completed compared to this. Saying that, our guide was very informative..... more

It is a beautiful, misty and mossy forest. There are information panels describing the plants and their characteristics in both English and Malay. Personally, I think the trip will be more interesting with a guided tour while on a road trip. We went during Ramhdan days at early morning. Not many people. We enjoy the nature, flowers and birds. The trails are easy, if only because the stairs can be difficult for older people. But as long as one does not have a knee problem, it shouldn't be a big deal. I've seen many eldery, but they manage to walk all parts of the tracks. Entry ticket is RM10, you need a tour agency to bring you to the entrance by van, which costs RM25. If you are driving your own car, your car will be blocked by a guard at the intersection before you reach the entrance. I would advise against driving yourself even without the regulations because the road is horrible. Overall, a great trip which can be combined with a visit to BOH tea plantations.

I enjoyed the lush greenery of the forest and the walk along the trail was relaxing and enjoyable, as the route was along well-maintained wooden paths with high railings. The mist that appeared frequently during my casual 1.5 hour walk added an eerie but exciting sense to the environment. We were told that due to the recent landslides along the route to the attraction, private vehicles are not permitted to drive up the route and we hired a private operator to drive us up on his four-wheel drive vehicle.

Wonderful view from the top and cold as well. Go in the morning around 8.30am to 9am to avoid traffic and also crowd. Nicely done boardwalk with explanations. Can be very slippery due to moss on the steps, just be more careful on every steps. Overall beautiful experience.

To get here, it is strongly advised to use the 4x4 service. We booked the one that starts from the Nova Hotel. Took about 30 minutes to get here and the journey quite adventurous. To enter the park is easy but they're too many stairs and I need to carry my daughter. LoL. Wahhh..it was crazy but we have a serious good times here. The place is beautiful and you will not regret. The transportation company staffs are super friendly and generous. They are the best. Try to search for Mr. Rama and you will never be disappointed. Quite talented too when capturing your photos. Highly recommended =)

It's a new experience to walk at a high peak to see the mossy trees. I was expecting more to walk and see. But overall was nice. Including all the Jeep riding to enjoy the atmosphere.
