Magnificent view. Have a resort. Have a strawberry farm up there. Good scones and strawberry hot tea ! Will absolutely repeat to come again.

Went to Mount Jerai during the weekend for a day trip. It is a small resort area 1000m above sea level, its cooling up there. It has a good view from the top on the paddy field in Kedah. There are plenty of flora and fauna in that area for your view. The road is a bit stiff and sloppy and limited parking area at the top, you can either hike up there from bottom which will take about one hour or take shuttle provided by the resort. There is also a cafe serving coffee and pastries and a buffer restaurant. Also available activities are botanical garden, strawberry farm, flying fox and et .

Quite wonderful view of Kedah, make sure come on cloudy day to see the cold cloudy fog atmosfere. Not recommended to come on heavy rain because risk of flooded on the way up. If you dare enough can drive on your car but makesure on manual gear to avoid any problem. You can hired van driver below the mount if hesitated, around RM70-80 per van for two way, up and down. If you came on holiday it is recommended to take van because van can sent you up without queeing at the top entrance due to limited parking for public vehicle. i came on normal day, drive my own car and get parking without problem. parking is charged at RM4 or maybe RM2 per person, not sure.

The resort carpark is off limit to non guests, so park outside and it's just a short walk to the resort. In the area, there are cafes & you can play some games (e.g. flying fox).

Apparently,the road uphill is closed for tourist EXCEPT for those who ride pickup van. RM 70 per and van driver very nice tho. Can share with other if want. Still undergoes construction. Very steep at certain corner. Botanical garden closed. Strawberry farm didn't have much attraction. Got cafe, hotel/resort, restaurant and monkey :)
