The exhibits are a little ho-hum but there is a lot to see. In addition to the main hall, make sure you check out the other exhibition halls which are hidden to the side. There is also a cave...

This place is quiet and windy. Good for those looking for a quiet place to relax. The place is pretty isolated. Beside the cave, other than that showcase the king culture. There is no entrance fee...

Surprisingly no entrance fees! Only need to register yourself near the gate. The museum grounds were surprisingly large, as it extends around the main building. The exhibits, while not a lot, tells the story of Perlis. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-kept and clean the museum was. There's a mini cave within the compound, and the garden at the back is peaceful and quiet. Overall, I enjoyed wandering around the museum, and if you ever find yourself in Perlis, do drop by this place!

I love little museums that can be done in and hour or so, are thoughtfully laid out and have English signage. This place has it all and a lot more. Great little history museum, if you like Malay weapons they have a great display, best I've seen in malaysia, and just a really good overview of Perlis. Best of all, don't miss the garden out back and make sure you explore the trails to the "hidden valley". Just a lovely setting.

The entrance was free and not crowded. There're 3 gallery, the place was also good for jogging in the morning. Very nice place to learn about history about perlis and their historical heritage. There's parking in front of the museum and it also free. You need to register your visit at the gate.

We were so happy this well maintained museum opened during the Labor Day holiday. Compared to a few others museums we visited in Malaysia, this is among the best museum with plenty of information about the Perlis state and their royal family. The landscaping is very good, surrounding is nice and clean. The museum is built on the site of the Kayangan Fort, and it is surrounded by stone hill. Its artifacts is less, but all the item displayed is very well maintained and explained. The design is one of the best we have seen in Malaysia. Artifacts are located in a few buildings where visitor need to be prepared to take some walk around the museum area. Suggest to bring some umbrella as it can be very hot in Perlis. If you are the type of knowledgeable traveller, this is a must come spot during your visit to Perlis. It is also a perfect spot for Insta ready selfie.

Excellent venue for a relaxing outing with the whole family. Cool winds and shades all around. Pity the sizeable fish pond isn't crystal-clear.
