Labuan Museum, Labuan Island

It was a nice place to visit, small but full of great history. The staff was nice enough to teach us about the history of Labuan when went there. The place is near the city so it has a lot of other attractions.

It is a small museum but well kept and informative. Good to come here for those who are curious to know about the history of Labuan. A good 30-35 minutes is all it takes to walk about the museum.

Very informative and interesting. Labuan has been a very pleasant surprise. The city is beautiful, can be easily discovered by foot. It has good walkways (which is not that common in these parts of the world) and a few nice parks. The museum offers a good overview of Labuan’s history. One is guided from room to room and invited to explore Labuan’s history. The museum contains mainly pictures and description but also some interesting artefacts. One can spend here 1-1/2 hours reading about Labuan, its past and the recent achievements. The place offers a good overview of this beautiful and (unfortunately) underrated place.

Entrance is FREE and the museum is artfully and colorfully designed. Visitors will have a visually interesting glimpse of the history and culture of Labuan. As a Filipino it was amusing for me to see southeast asia history (esp the WW2 stories) from their point of view. As a Mindanao resident, the the disparities in the stories of Sabah, Brunei and the Sultan of Sulu is also very interesting.

Small museum but a lot of of things inside very informative about the island. A nice place to visit in labuan. U can spelnd at least 2 hours here
