    Beautiful clock tower in sungai petani.

    The famous great old clock tower of Sungai Petani. Build by the British long before the independent day of Malaya. Thank god for this tower, it has been the icon and represent SP for so long.

    The 12m high clock tower is one built in 1936 as a gift to commemorate the reign of His Majesty King George V by entrepreneur and philantropist Lim Lean Teng. It has been the icon for Sungai Petani since then. The new Dataran Zero Kilometer was recently added to make beautiful this little quaint town of Kedah.
