This is consider the place that you may enjoy the locals. Most of them speak English very well and tourist are welcome and you won't had any problem at all. They welcomes you nicely and do share what they have to offer or to show you what is Maldivian is all about. Walking distance from main jetty connected airport and the city. Easy walk tour in this place. Get your local guide to know more about it. There's the stingray point next to it that you may enjoy extraordinary view of these creatures. Cheap coconut drinks too compared with any island that you have visited. Great to do your here after your few days in isolated and super calm island stay. Worth visit.

The Male fish market is astonishing! Be here early - that is Maldivian early ♥️🇲🇻 - so about 8 to 9 to se the today’s catch coming in, being displayed and then haggled and purchased by vendors. An odd kind of auction on the most valuable fish, and more pick and choose for the normal catch. Making your own dinner? This is the freshest fish in the Maldives, unless you catch it yourself! They have really pro slice and dice staff here that guts and filets your fish for a nominal fee. One of the few attractions in Malé that I really recommend!

It was a great experience and an eye opener as well as you would see all types of fish catches some being cleaned and others just laying there. Cleanliness was an issue. But as you would imagine these were for sale waiting for customers.

Interesting to see and observe how the fishes cutters are cutting the tuna fish with few minutes, a local male city fish market where all the fisherman’s boats anchor near by it and sell the fishes. The fishes are very fresh and large the people used to buy it in very cheapest rate like 1 kg TUNA fish is Ali most 25-30 Mvr is equal to 2 $

Love this Fish market!! Fun to watch the boxes of fishes being unloaded from boats, delivered to the nearby fish market. Fresh fishes being displayed, sold by the roadsides and some inside the fish market (building). Interesting to watch the huge fishes being cut into fillets or sizes according to customers' requests. All being very fresh!!!
