Chileno Beach, Cabo San Lucas

Beautiful beach and very good atmosphere! We fully enjoyed our 3~4 hours stay there. There were a ton of fish swimming around, easily seen from above the water. Many people were feeding the fish, which explains why there were so many of them, and why they were much bigger than other places :) We had to pay 450 pesos to rent two chairs and one umbrella for the whole day, which seemed a bit high. Since there was only one vendor with zero competition, there wasn't really any room to haggle.

Beautiful, white sand beach with a public bathroom and lifeguard station. There were several boats with snorkelers but it wasn’t too crowded on the beach during Spring Break.

Chileno bay is the perfect spot your snorkeling adventures. However, be aware of the beach warning flags. When I went in, I did not pay attention to the jellyfish flag and sure enough, I got stung by them and let me tell you it burned really good. Had not been for the jellyfish in the water that day, it would have been perfect.

About $15US Uber from San Jose del Cabo one-way. Clear water, real bathrooms, umbrella and chair rentals ($14 and $6 each). Swimmable and good snorkel, but really only need regular cheap swim goggles not full snorkel gear because tons of fish just swim right up to everyone very near shore at waist deep; can even see fish just standing up looking into water. Decently busy on a Thursday afternoon in late August, so likely very busy during tourist season, but for good reason.

Beautiful beach, however no life guards on duty when we went. The waves can get a little strong. Make sure to bring your umbrella and snacks. Just a beautiful place to relax and soak in some sun!!
