Very beautiful shop with a variety of amber as well as authentic huichol art which we couldn't seem to resist 😻 we ended up with a couple of pieces & could have easily bought a few more .... Maria Teresa was so lovely to interact with & she was incredibly attentive & patient making the atmosphere even warmer 🙏🏼💛🙏🏼

I adore Ambarte! This is where you go if you want great quality, beautiful jewelry that isn't just the same thing you see twenty times walking down 5th Ave. My husband and I were in Quintana Roo for a week at the end of July, and I came into Ambarte on the first day of our trip. So many gorgeous things in this little shop, not just jewelry (being honest, though, I was there for the jewelry). I fell in love with several pieces with opal in them, and was debating which I should buy, but my husband--who had good intentions--counseled me to wait, it was our first day there, not to rush into buying things because I might find something I liked or wanted more later on. So I left the shop reluctantly, telling the kind & understanding woman behind the counter (I'm indecisive on my best days, she was very patient with me) that she would probably see me again; nothing more concrete than that. Several days later and I hadn't found anything I liked nearly as much, and I was nervous someone might buy one of the items I loved, so we went back, and I was heartbroken at first because I couldn't find any of the pieces in the case that I had been thinking about & comparing everything to for days. My husband, who couldn't believe that everything I loved had sold, asked the gentleman behind the counter if anything had been set back a few days prior. To our surprise & extreme relief, the lady from our first visit had put the pendant and rings aside for me! Please note, these were not inexpensive items, so it was surprising that she had set them all aside, especially since I hadn't specifically asked her to hold them for me. She just did it. That's just amazing customer service. The gentleman working there that day was very kind and patient with me, too, as I picked which ring I wanted, and very helpful as I agonized over which chain would look best with my pendant. Stellar customer service. And the jewelry! It's absolutely gorgeous--I'm beyond happy with my necklace and my ring. Truly excellent quality! The opals are lovely, and the design of the silver in both pieces is stunning. Ambarte sells real, unique, beautiful jewelry that you will treasure.

This is a beautiful little space, if you want a good shopping experience, with quality products. The selection of amber was the best I'd seen, and the lady was helpful but not pushy. 10/10 would shop there again. I also recommend the chocolate cafe next door afterwards 😍

The jewelry was presented professionally and is of higher quality than what is typically found on 5th Avenue.
