The oldest public park in Moldova, Stefan cel Mare Park sits on the city's main street and was laid out in the time of Alexander I. Nicknamed "the park of the lovers," explore the leafy avenues and sheltered corners that make this space popular with couples and groups alike. The park contains an abundance of statues and monuments, including an 1885 monument to Pushkin, the oldest surviving monument in the city. Stroll down the Alley of Classics, an avenue of sculptures dedicated to Romanian literary heroes and political leaders of Moldova.
