A Roman Catholic cathedral and burial place of the country's royalty, Cathedrale Notre-Dame-Immaculee exudes a sense of hushed solemnity amidst shining marble floors and delicate frescoes. Constructed on the site of Monaco's first parish church, which was built in 1252, the cathedral was consecrated in 1875. An ornate and light-filled building, this cathedral was the site of both the wedding and the burial of the celebrated Grace Kelly, who married Prince Rainier III here in 1956. Take some time to walk around the cathedral and visit the chapels of the relics of St. Devote and St. Roman and the chapel of the Holy Sacrament. Put Cathedrale Notre-Dame-Immaculee on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Monaco-Ville trip maker site.

Monaco's cathedral has a number of uncommon design features and feels museum-like with all of the descriptions for artifacts within. Well worth a look.

Extremely beautiful church, with amazing architecture and artworks. Free entrance. Good to note that you need to cover your shoulders. Inside there were a lot of artwork, made in different centuries it seemed, but I could not tell because I don’t understand Latin. The clerestory windows were also beautiful.

Dating back to the 19th century, the Saint Nicholas Cathedral is a Romanesque church which sits next to the water in Monte Carlo, Monaco. It’s exquisitely beautiful and neighbors the picturesque courthouse next door. If you want to see the interior, you’re in for a surprise. It’s free admission! You can’t beat the price of free.

The cathedral's interior was not that impressive but it sure looks cool from the outside

Beautiful. The entrance is free and the althar is different from other cathedrals I've visited. It looks absolutely stunning from the outside and very nice also inside.

Didn't go inside but it's a beautiful church in a great area to walk around and shop.
