Walk the picturesque streets of Kasbah des Oudaias, one of the town's most historic quarters and part of the World Heritage Site that protects Rabat's most prized landmarks. First constructed in the 12th century, the kasbah includes an old palace and mosque, and a knotted core of streets with whitewashed and blue-accented homes. A key feature comes in the form of the large Almohad period gate, built in 1195 CE and providing the most atmospheric entrance to this old part of town. Catch extensive views of the ocean from atop the kasbah's ramparts, and take a stroll down to the beaches to watch the waves crash against the ramparts. Put Kasbah des Oudaias and other Rabat attractions into our Rabat day trip planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

So beautiful and so much to see. A lot of the people selling items here speak English which is very helpful when you are shopping without a guide. If you are shopping for souvenirs for friends and family you will definitely find something to get them here! The ocean views are stunning and the sea air is so refreshing!! Bring a camera and enjoy! š„°

Be aware of local āguidesā who want to show you around!! Otherwise very nice view and beautiful narrow streets with nice houses, unfortunately it was under reconstruction at the time we were there, so constructions and workers were everywhere.

Very nice sea side ancient city with some interesting stalls. Beautiful architecture for photo shoot. However, scammer are everywhere and always āremindā you are on the wrong direction. Be careful and donāt listen to any one of them who say anything about directions.

Would have liked to spend more time here exploring. Most of the shops are closed and only a few shops opened. I only had about 10min down the pathways, so I guess I didnāt see much apart from newly paved floor and white washed walls.

Loved this place. Beautiful houses , the fort surrounded by the sea. We went around 9 AM so the place wasn't crowded. We couldn't visit Chefchaouen but this place was the consolation price for it šš. Walk through the interior of the fort to find those blue walls. That beautiful blue color was so pretty to see but unfortunately during our visit they were repainting those walls so we could find only a few blue walls. Picture perfect place.
